On a cold, sunny winter day in New York City, a total of 134 teams gathered on Randalls Island.

There they competed for the championships of five Men’s and five Women’s Divisions at the 55th annual New York 7s.

The games of the 2013 New York 7s were played on 14 different fields and everything went off on time. The tournament was an impressive, masterful and enjoyable performance by the host, New York RFC.

Year after year, the New York 7s is one of the largest, longest-running, and most efficiently managed tournaments in the United States.

Men
Men’s Premier
The New England Academy won the Championship of the 6-team Men’s Premier Division with a 20-17 win over the Tiger Cubs in the final. The teams were tied 10-10 at halftime.

Men’s Collegiate
The University of New Hampshire won the Championship of the 16-team Men’s Collegiate Division with a 28-12 win over Wilfred Laurier University in the final.

Men’s Social
The ST 7s won the Championship of the 32-team Men’s Social Division.

Boy’s High School
The Ontario HS Selects won the Championship of the 12-team Boy’s High School Division with a 40-12 win over Pennsylvania I in the final.

Women
Women’s Premier
The Quebec provincial side won the Championship of the 6-team Women’s Premier Division with a 43-10 victory over the Mighty Rucks in the final.

Women’s Club
The Carabiners won the Championship of the 8-team Women’s Club Division.

Women’s Collegiate
The Falcons won the Championship of the 8-team Women’s Collegiate Division.

Women’s Social
Ormstown won the Championship of the 18-team Women’s Social Division with a win in the final over Les Belles Madames.

Girl’s High School
The Quebec Provincial side won the Championship of the 12-team Girls High School Division with a 22-5 win over the Ormstown Saracens in the final.
